Yes, life is cruel — but sometimes kind.
There’s a flower where the thorns unwind.
Our story may not end in grace,
We may not walk this world in place.
But life’s unfair — and still we rise,
Learning to see with wiser eyes.

Not every smile comes from joy,
Some truths just break, they don’t deploy.
And that’s a truth we have to face —
Some pieces simply don’t embrace.

I wish that normal life had felt like gold,
That perfect tale where dark can’t hold.
That shining story no one could bend…
But this is the best one I could defend.
Though love that gave you life tears me apart,
Your love rebuilds the ruins of my heart.

I’ve seen too much to dress it sweet,
I won’t fake strength or hide defeat.
I’ll teach you courage without rage,
To turn the page, not burn the page.

You won’t need war to prove you’re right,
Just choose to love when faced with spite.
And if you fall, I’ll catch the pain,
Even if I stand in rain.

I may not be the best in law or creed,
But I’ll be the arms you truly need.
